1. Organisation 

1.1 The “LEGO® F1 Race game” contest is organised by Importalot (Pty) Ltd, with registered office at  47A Boundary Road, Benoni, Gauteng, 1509, South Africa (hereinafter ‘organiser’). 
1.2 By participating in this contest, every participant declares that he/she agrees to all the regulations, including the annexes, as well as all decisions related to this contest. 
1.3 Importalot (Pty) Ltd is entitled to amend these regulations in the case of non-essential provisions. 
1.4 In the event of force majeure or any other circumstance beyond its control, Importalot (Pty) Ltd 
reserves the right to postpone, shorten or terminate the contest or a part thereof as well as to postpone, abridge or cancel the rules, the prizes and the information concerning the contest. 
1.5 The changes referred to in Articles 1.3 and 1.4 take effect after notification of the participant via the e-mail address provided. All registered participants are notified of the change simultaneously. 

2. Conditions for participation – contest procedure 

2.1 The contest of Importalot (Pty) Ltd is open to anyone who is not directly and personally connected with the organisation of this contest. 
2.2 Participation in the contest is only possible provided that it is expressly confirmed that a  
parent/guardian/caregiver has given his/her permission for participation, unless the participant  is an adult. 
2.3 To participate in this Importalot (Pty) Ltd contest, the participant is to follow the instructions as indicated on the relevant contest pages of the organising parties. The participant is to take the following steps: 
• The participant clicks on the button to participate. 
• The goal of the race is to complete the course as quickly as possible while maximizing your (bonus) points. You can earn bonus points by following the marked white racing line as closely as possible. However, points will be deducted for crashing or going off track. Your final ranking is determined by a combination of your race time and (bonus) points, with the fastest time and highest (bonus) score securing the top position. Speed remains the most crucial factor. After the game ends the participant clicks on " Submit score". 
• If the participant is a minor, an adult must give permission before continuing. 
• The participant registers his/her score and personal data on the contest page. 
• The participant then clicks on "Submit". 
• Only the participant’s highest score is recorded. 
• The participant then clicks on "Submit".  
• Participants can play repeatedly to increase their scores. 
• Subsequent races with lower scores do not lower the player's highest score. 
2.4 Participation in the contest is free. 

3. Contest 

3.1 The contest period runs from 05.05.2025 through 01.06.2025, 11:59PM. 
3.2 Suspicion of fraud or attempted fraud leads to immediate exclusion of the participant.  
In the event of abuse, deception or cheating the organisers expressly reserve the right to exclude the participant(s) concerned from the contest without further discussion and to recover any damage from them. Fraud includes, but is not limited to, participation with multiple e-mail addresses while the other personal data are manifestly identical. Other forms of fraud can also give rise to exclusion. 

4. Determination of winners and prizes 

4.1 There are 5 prizes to be won in this contest in total. The winners are selected by Engaged BV (data processor). One winner is chosen each week, and at the end of the contest period an overall winner is determined on the basis of the score they achieved in the game.  

Importalot (Pty) Ltd contacts the winners directly via the e-mail address provided and is responsible for sending the winner’s notification. 
The winner of the weekly prize (1 grand prize – 42206 (01-06-2025)) is the participant who has achieved the highest ranking in the week concerned.

4.2 The winners are the participants who have taken part in the contest between 05.05.2025 and 01.06.2025, 11:59PM and are selected by the contest jury as a winner on the basis of the score they achieved in the game. 
4.3 Each participant can win a weekly prize only once. Once a participant has won a weekly prize, they are no longer eligible to compete for subsequent weekly prizes. Participation through contest enrolment or registration services is strictly prohibited. Any violation of these rules may result in disqualification at the discretion of the organizers. If a participant has already won a weekly prize, they will be informed upon notification (see section 4.4) and will only receive the first weekly prize they won. If a weekly winner is ineligible for another weekly prize, the prize will be awarded to the next highest-ranked participant for that week. This adjustment will be communicated via email as outlined in section 4.4. 
However, the weekly leaderboards will remain unchanged, meaning the awarded prizes may not always align with the displayed rankings. 
4.4 Importalot (Pty) Ltd will make communication about the winners through social media and directly contacting them through email. The winners contacted are to communicate their home address within 7 days of announcement at the latest in response to the e-mail received in which it is confirmed that they have won. If no response is received, the prize is offered to the next participant in line, that is, the participant with the next highest score in the period concerned. 
4.5 Communication relating to the contest takes place via the e-mail address sales@importatoy.co.za. 
4.6 Prizes are personal and not transferable. They can only be awarded to the winners.
4.7 Prizes cannot be exchanged for money or other products or services. 
4.8 In the event that all the conditions of the regulations are not met, or in the event of abuse, deception or cheating, Importalot (Pty) Ltd expressly reserves the right to reclaim the prize or compensation for the value of the prize, even if the fraud, abuse or irregularity is established after the prize has been (wrongly) awarded. 
4.9 In the event that all the conditions of the regulations are not met or in the event of abuse, deception or cheating, Importalot (Pty) Ltd expressly reserves the right to definitively exclude the participant(s) concerned from participation in this and/or other contests. 
4.10 The results of the contest are binding and irrevocable. They cannot be contested by the 
participants.

 
5. Personal data 

5.1 By participating in this contest, the participant acknowledges and accepts that his/her personal data are recorded and stored in an electronic file by Engaged BV (data processor) and Importalot (Pty) Ltd (data owner) to ensure the organisation and proper operation of the contest. These personal data will not be used for other purposes. Two months after the end of the contest, the personal data of the participants are deleted from the databases of Engaged BV and Importalot (Pty) Ltd The name and email address are collected exclusively to identify the winners of the contest. The provisions of these regulations are interpreted in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of 25 May 2018. Requests for access to or correction of personal data can be directed to the address listed in Article 1.1 of these regulations. 
5.2 Participants who give their “opt-in” permission in the application acknowledge and accept that the organiser may contact them with additional information on their participation in the contest and other promotional communication, as required by the privacy legislation in effect, including the GDPR. This communication will comply with all applicable regulations.
5.3 Importalot (Pty) Ltd is responsible to contact the winners of the contest. Importalot (Pty) Ltd also acts as data processor and only has access to the personal data of the winners as necessary to inform them of their prize. Importalot (Pty) Ltd processes the data according to the privacy legislation in effect. 
5.4 Importalot (Pty) Ltd refers in this regard to its privacy policy, which can be consulted via the URL:

6. Liability 

6.1 Typographical or spelling errors, misprints, electronic or other such errors cannot be invoked as grounds for any obligation whatsoever on the part of Importalot (Pty) Ltd. 
6.2 Importalot (Pty) Ltd cannot be held liable for technical problems that prevent participation in the contest or affect the continuous and uninterrupted course of the contest. This includes, but is not limited to, failures in internet connections, hardware or software problems, server failure, or other unforeseen technical defects beyond the control of the organiser. The organiser furthermore cannot be held liable for any consequences of such technical problems for the participant. 
6.3 Importalot (Pty) Ltd is not responsible for possible damage, bodily injuries, accidents or deaths that might occur as a consequence of winning one of the prizes and/or participation in the contest. 
6.4 If Importalot (Pty) Ltd is obliged to postpone, shorten or cancel the contest, change the contest regulations, or adjust the contest format, Importalot (Pty) Ltd cannot in any way be held liable for this.
